  • Devoteam begeleidt 300 DevOps teams in professionele systeem monitoring
    Een grote systeembank in Amsterdam investeert al jaren in de automatisering en harmonisering van de Continuous Delivery werkzaamheden ten behoeve van een vlotte productiegang. Betrouwbaarheid van systemen en applicaties staat daarbij altijd centraal; de klant moet altijd en overal zijn bankzaken kunnen regelen. En betrouwbaarheid hangt nauw samen met goede monitoring van systemen en applicaties bij de bank, een gedeelde verantwoordelijkheid van zo’n 300 DevOps teams. Devoteam kreeg de opdracht die monitoring in te richten, te professionaliseren en de mensen te trainen met gebruikmaking van de Agile Scrum Kanban en DevOps werkwijze.

    a.s.r. is een verzekeraar die alle denkbare verzekeringen aanbiedt. Met bijna 3.900 medewerkers en een omzet van 3,8 miljard euro in 2014 is het een van de grootste verzekeraars van Nederland. Met het oog op een perfecte dienstverlening en goede bereikbaarheid voor klanten werden tot halverwege 2015 alle IT-systemen van a.s.r. 7x24 uur door operators bewaakt in het Control Center. Devoteam kreeg de opdracht onderzoek te doen naar mogelijkheden om de kosten van dit Control Center te verlagen. Het leidde tot een radicaal advies: uitschakelen en de processen volledig automatiseren. Devoteam hielp zelf mee om het mogelijk te maken. Tot grote tevredenheid van onder meer monitoring specialist Frans Boejé. Hij vertelt zelf waarom.
